Charles Dickens wrote “A Christmas Carol” in 1843 … a story of redemption, a story of God’s changing a man’s heart.
Karl Marx wrote “The Communist Manifesto” in 1848, though Marx’s ideas were well-known before the document was published. The evils of socialism are historically documented … though Marx believed what he was doing was right.
Dickens and Marx were contemporaries. One found redemption in God. The other thought redemption comes through rebellious men overthrowing other men.
The war between good and evil predates history when Lucifer challenged God and was banished from Heaven. The battles between good and evil persist whether it be Cain and Abel, David and Goliath, Joshua and Jericho, Christ and Satan, Allies and Axis powers, and freedom and socialism-Marxism (Cold War, Antifa/BLM, inc.), and other battles yet to come.
The Republic of the United States will not find salvation and redemption in any social justice (Marxist) movement. Salvation and redemption are found only in the person of Christ Jesus. Regardless of how this election cycle turns out God is not caught unawares. He is in control. He will see believers through what will happen.
However, the choice for this election cycle comes down to socialism-Marxism vs. freedom. I can only hope that Americans are wise enough to choose freedom.
For this is my prayer, for the people county to realize that “Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” – Proverbs 9:10
